General Information
Splitsville centres are open 365 days a year and open late on evenings and weekends. Please refer to your nearest location for all the details: https://www.splitsville.ca/centres
Splitsville Bowl offers bowling at an hourly rate, or a per game rate, depending on the location, with a variety of time slots available. Pricing varies by location and details can be found by selecting your centre.
Splitsville centres have a maximum of 6 guests per lane. During special offers, such as All You Can Bowl, we have a 4-person minimum per lane.
Bowling reservations are not required, but they are recommended, especially on weekends. Book online by selecting your centre.
Absolutely!
We highly recommend securing your spot in advance by booking online —select your centre to get started. You can also pre-purchase arcade game cards (at participating locations) and your bowling shoe rentals.
At Splitsville Bowl, the safety and well-being of all our guests, especially children, is of utmost importance. Children under the age of 12 are required to be supervised by an adult or caregiver over the age of 16. Running around the centre and horseplay on the lanes or at the arcade games will result in guests being asked to leave. Splitsville Bowl is not responsible for watching unsupervised children.
Parents/caregivers are not required to be bowling, but we do ask that you sit at the lanes to supervise (and cheer them on!).
All Splitsville Bowl centres have wheelchair-accessible bowling lanes, except for our Calgary Glamorgan centre due to the age of the building and being located on the lower level. However, all our other Calgary locations are wheelchair accessible.
If you have any specific concerns or requirements, please contact us ahead of time, and we'll be more than happy to assist you in making your visit enjoyable and hassle-free.
Reservations are non-refundable, but credit can be applied to a rescheduled date if the change occurs 48 hours in advance of the original reservation date.
BOWLING
Splitsville has a ball for every bowler from 6lbs to 14lbs with grip sizes XXS right through to XXL (grip size refers to the size of the holes in the ball for your fingers). Your perfect ball should be comfortable to hold and not too tight on the grip, allowing your two middle fingers to be inserted down to the second joint. Please take care when picking up and putting down the balls to avoid hurting your lovely little fingers, or your back.
Our 6lb bowling balls are perfect for kids. We also offer ball ramps to make it even easier for our youngest players to enjoy the game and aim for a strike!
No! Splitsville Bowl is the only bowling brand in North America who allows out gets to bowl in their own shoes!
Of course, safety rules do apply and we encourage you to review them before your next visit. Arrive wearing the wrong shoes? Have no fear! We still have bowling shoes for you to borrow at no additional cost!
On average, it takes about 15 minutes per person to bowl on game (10 frames). A group of 4 can bowl one game in an hour. A group of 2 can bowl 2 games in an hour.
Yes – get ready for even more fun with glow bowling at all of our Splitsville Bowl centres! Glow bowling starts every Friday at 3pm, and Saturday and Sunday at 1pm. Glow bowling may also be offered in the evenings during the week after our leagues are finished up. Schedules are subject to change on holidays or for special events.
The foul line is the black lane across the start of the bowling lane. Beyond this line, the bowling lanes are coated with a special oil varnish to protect them and the surface is really slippery. Please keep an eye on your children – they love to run down the lanes and this will result in injury. If a bowling ball or pin gets stuck in the gutter or on the lane, please ask one of our team members to assist.
All of our Splitsville Bowl Centres host bowling leagues throughout the year. To learn more about joining a league, please contact your nearest location. You can also inquire about starting your own league! Bowling leagues are primarily run Mondays to Wednesdays, with daytime leagues also available on Thursdays and Fridays. Select centres run youth bowling league programs on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Bowling is a fun and inclusive activity for people of all ages and abilities from 3 to 93. Children under 3 can bowl with the assistance of an adult and bowling ramps are available. Of course, we welcome guests over 93 to show off their moves, too!
Arcade and Games
Splitsville Bowl isn’t your average bowling alley — we’re all about providing our guests with the next level of entertainment to keep you and your crew craving more fun and adventure. From arcade games to mini-golf*, and even go-karts and high-ropes*,
*Mini-Golf is currently only available at our Richmond Hill location, while karts and ropes are available at Stoked by Splitsville Bowl, in Saskatoon.
We have a NEW and exciting platform for our arcade, Tigapo! A cashless, cardless, and ticket-less app that can be used at any of our centres with Tigapo games.* (Of course, we do have cards available if you love that retro-feel!) You can download the app for IOS or Android and create your account to get started!
*Not availble at our Guleph and Calgary Highfield locations.
Guelph and Highfield work off of a credit and rewards point system on swipe cards (playcards). Playcards are purchased with game credit values and as you swipe the card to play each game, credits are deducted from the card. When you play games and win points, those points are automatically added to your playcard. Playcards can be reloaded so you can keep adding up your points for the premium prizes at our redemption counters. Playcards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen – please keep your cards safe.
Our centres that have Tigapo capabilites allow our guests to use their account at any of of our centres. So you can collect points, redeem them, or use points wherenver you are in Canada!
However, our Guelph and Highfield locations currently don't have these capabilities, so their playcards are programmed for the individual location and prizes may only be redeemed at that same location.
Top-tier redemption prizes are not kept at the location and will be ordered upon redemption. This can take up to 3 weeks. Our team will contact you once your prize has been delivered.Our non merchandised arcade games are programmed to take only 1/2 the credits after 8PM, every Sunday night at all our Spltsillve Bowl locations.
Merchinsised games are game which you recieve a physical prize, such as claw games.
Food And Drink
All of our Splitsville Centres offer a delicious food and drink menu, including a kids menu. Food can be enjoyed at the lanes or in our bars & lounges.
You can view our menus at https://www.splitsville.ca/food-drink. Menus include vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options (availability varies by location).
Outside food and drinks are not permitted, except for peanut-free birthday cakes as part of our birthday party packages.
We take food allergies and restrictions very seriously. Please let our team know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs based on our menu offering.
Yes! We offer lane-side service for our full food and drink menu.
All of our centres feature a full bar with beer, cocktails, wine, coolers and seltzers. Selection may vary by location.
*Must be legal drinking age to order alcoholic beverages, please enjoy responsibly.
Birthday Parties
We love birthday parties and offer a variety of bowling, mini-golf, and arcade packages at our centres based on each location’s amenities. For more information about bowling birthday parties visit our Birthday Party page.
Our new online reservations tool has no limit on how early you can reserve your party, so you can secure your date well ahead of time! Birthday parties must be booked with at least 72 hours' notice.
Splitsville Bowl birthday party packages can be booked online, any time! If you need to book more than 4 lanes (24+ guests), please fill out this form to be in touch with our Events Specialist.
Changes can be made to your party reservation with a minimum of 72 hours' notice by calling the centre directly, or by reaching out to your Events Specialist. You can fill out this form if they haven't already contacted you.
*Remember to add your booking reference in your "Event Details".
Outside food and drinks are not permitted at Splitsville, except for birthday cake or cupcakes. Due to local health codes, we are unable to store any outside food in our kitchen, so it's best to avoid ice cream cakes. Our birthday party packages include food and drinks, with the option to add additional items from our event menu. If you have dietary needs, please call your centre to inquire about alternative menu options.
Yes! Bowling birthday parties take place at the lane, so keep that in mind when planning your decorations. We recommend party hats, balloons on looooong strings (we have very high ceilings if a balloon gets away), and tabletop signs.
Absolutely not! We encourage all ages to have a blast with a bowling birthday party. Our birthday party packages can be booked for all ages. We also offer packages designed for different events such as Team Celebrations and even Date Night packages that are tailored to older groups. You can find out more information here.

Group Events
Yes! From team building and corporate events to social gatherings and celebrations, bowling and arcade games take your event to the next level with fun, laughs, and a little healthy competition. Whether you have a group of 10 or 200 (...or more), our team of Event Specialists are here to help you plan the best event, ever! Fill out an event inquiry form to get the party started.
The sooner you can plan your event and secure your preferred date and time, the better. This is especially true for weekend events and during the busy holiday seasons. We recommend reaching out to us at least 6-8 weeks in advance. You can get in touch with an event specialist by filling out our event inquiry form.
Splitsville Bowl provides all catering in-house and does not permit outside food and drinks, except for cakes or cupcakes. Event packages are available, including buffets and a la carte menu selections, to create a customized experience for your event.

WEAR YOUR OWN SHOES
You can now wear your own shoes at ALL Splitsville locations!
Yes, for the safety of all our guests, we do have a few types of shoes you cannot wear on our lanes:
- No open toe shoes
- No high heels
- No slip-on shoes (eg: slides or crocs)
*Shoes must be clean and dry on the lanes.
If it's raining, snowing or you're wearing winter boots, you can bring a pair of indoor shoes (just like elementary school). If you don't have a pair of clean and dry shoes, we have bowling shoes available that you can borrow (at no charge!).
If you're not wearing the right type of shoes during your visit, we'll provide you with bowling shoes at no additional cost.
If you still love that retro vibe, have no fear, you can still borrow a pair of ours at no additional cost!
